Crispy Vegan Baked Onion Rings

Ingredients
  

  • 1 large Sweet Onion
  • 1/2 Cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 TBSP nutrional yeast
  • 1/4 Cup plain oat milk
  • 1 TBSP garlic powder
  • 1 Cup unseasoned panko bread crumbs

Equipment

  • 2 small mixing bowls
  • 1 silpat or parchment paper
  • 1 cookie sheet

Method
 

  1. Slice onion into circles
  2. mix flour, nutritional yeast and garlic powder together
  3. add oat milk to dry mixture
  4. In a separate bowl put panko bread crumbs
  5. Dip onion piece into wet mixture until covered, then put in bowl with bread crumbs until well covered. P.ut on silpat on cookie sheet
  6. Make sure oven is preheated to 425 degrees. Bake for 25-30 minutes until crispy.
